Endless ways to spend your days
It’s time to kick back and relax, make the most of time spent outdoors in nature.
In your glamping tent you will find books and board games. If you’re feeling more energetic, you could walk (or run) around the field and woods, play a game of cricket, rounders or football. Fly a kite! Or – if you’re a parent – put your feet up on the veranda and keep an eye on your kids as they run off some energy in the meadow.
All the glamping tents now have their own hot tub, perfect for relaxation. And there is a small campfire beside each tent, for evenings watching the flames, telling stories and toasting marshmallows.
Time for the hot tub
Each of our glamping tents has its own woodfired hot tub. Light the woodburner and soon you will be relaxing in the fresh air. Especially recommended at sunset and under the stars.
Did we mention stars?
We are close to the Sidmouth Dark Skies Zone, specially recommended for the lack of light pollution as a great place to spot the constellations. In August, look out for the sparkling gold of the Perseid meteor showers, a regular sight here at night-time. Want to know more? Sidmouth is home to the renowned Norman Lockyer Observatory, open to visitors.
Around the Farm
Explore the three-acre oak wood, home to all sorts of songbirds, as well as badgers, foxes, deer and owls. In May you’ll see the beautiful bluebells. There is an ankle-deep stream to paddle in or dam, and plenty of space for all sorts of imaginative games, from hide and seek to We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Relax & Unwind
Why not just find a spot under an ancient oak tree for a spot of forest bathing – or just sunbathing! With three acres of private woodland, there is space in the woods for everyone to enjoy themselves. If your dog is here with you, they will have a ball (and fetch it too, we are sure).
Meet the Animals
There are regular farm experience walks scheduled, offering the chance to meet and feed the farm animals including sheep, chickens and ponies. We will let you know of the times for this fun activity in the run-up to your stay.
Light a campfire
At night, gather round your campfire, roast sausages and toast marshmallows, tell stories and gaze at the flames.
